Olivia Newton-John inducted into the AWMA

In November 2021 Dame Olivia Newton-John was inducted into the Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA) Honour Roll. In 2018 Australian legend and friends of Olivia’s Helen Reddy had received the same honour. The AWMA praised Olivia with the following words:

“With a career spanning more than five decades, four Grammy Awards, five US number ones, ten Top Tens on Billboard’s Hot 100 as well as two Billboard 200 number-one albums, Olivia Newton-John is a seemingly timeless singer, songwriter, actor, entrepreneur and activist.Dame Olivia has been a long-time activist for environmental and animal rights issues and an advocate for health awareness – specifically cancer. In addition to being the Champion of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in her hometown of Melbourne, Olivia recently launched the ONJ Foundation an independent charity sponsoring global research into plant medicine for cancer.”

Concert, the highlight of the two-day event to be held in Brisbane on 17 & 18 May 2022.
